mjp Posted August 22, 2016 Report Posted August 22, 2016 Good day, I have just purchased a 2000 example of a Zetec Mk1 Galaxy - and I hate the ghastly plastic they stuck on the dashboard back then and I'd prefer something like dark walnut or Ash. I have found a kit (http://www.imolatuning.com/en/ford/85-dash-trim-kit-rhd-ford-galaxy-mk1.html) that has the type I'd like but there's one issue; despite having a RHD example the dashboard seems to be in the LHD config? Any ideas why this might be? I have included pic of my dashboard. Kindest regards. Quote
BrianH Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 Mine is the same as yours - switches to the lefthand side of the stereo. It doesn't make sense to have them on the righthand side as they aren't as easy to see. i would assume thats how they all are? Quote
BrianH Posted August 23, 2016 Report Posted August 23, 2016 The ignition key is on the wrong side as well in their images.... Quote
sparky Paul Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) Your car is correct for a RHD car, they're all like that. The picture on the website is a LHD car, and the picture has been reversed. As Brian says, the ignition is on the wrong side of the column, and look at the dashboard dials and the pedals - the accelerator is on the left! Not keen on the stick on stuff, looks nasty. What about finding trim parts from a scrapper? Some Ghia models had wood/ish trim, or the carbon fibre effect, like mine. Edited September 6, 2016 by sparky Paul Quote
